Rehoboth firefighters battle Sea Air blaze

Source: Submitted Rehoboth Beach firefighters battle a house fire Nov. 16 in the Sea Air development off Route 1. No one was home at the time of the fire. The cause has not yet been determined.

Rehoboth Beach — Rehoboth Beach firefighters spent Saturday night, Nov. 16, battling a house fire in Sea Air off Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office. No estimate of damage has been released.

Rehoboth Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 20000 block of Atlantic Ave. Rehoboth firefighters Vaughn and Jared McCabe, who live in the area, saw smoke billowing from the manufacture home, and firefighters located the source of the fire underneath it. The owner was not home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters from Lewes Fire Department, Indian River Fire Company and Sussex County Emergency Medical Services assisted in bringing the fire under control.
