Rehoboth Gateway includes hotel, restaurants
Sussex County Planning and Zoning has granted preliminary site plan approval to Jack Lingo Assets Management for a project on an 8-acre, vacant lot along Route 1 near the Rehoboth Beach entrance. Rehoboth Gateway will include a four-story, 54,000-square-foot hotel with 90 rooms and an indoor pool, a 5,000-square-foot convenience store and two restaurants.
Before construction can begin, the planning and zoning commission must approve a final-site plan that includes a landscape plan for the area along the highway. Access to Rehoboth Gateway will be from Route 1 as a right-turn in only and on Road 273 by Jungle Jim's.
