Rehoboth Historical Society thanks merchants

By Paul Kuhns | Nov 21, 2013

On Friday evening, Nov. 1, Rehoboth Beach Main Street held its 3rd annual Cocoa Crawl. On behalf of the board of directors of the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society, I would like to thank the board of directors of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, its Director Annmarie Westerfield, and especially Alyssa Titus, president and creator of the Cocoa Crawl, for being so generous in including the society as one of the two recepients and beneficiaries of the funds raised by the event.

As mentioned, this event would not have been possible without the creative genius of Alyssa Titus and the support of the Main Street organization. Additionally, I would like to thank all of the downtown retail businesses that participated in the event for their generosity in providing so many great items for sale and discounts that brought hundreds of people downtown to shop and socialize. I would like to especially thank all of the many downtown food establishments that so generously provided spectacular food and drink for the largest crowd of people to participate so far in any of the Crawls.

What a spectacular event for downtown Rehoboth Beach. We are so fortunate to have such a giving community in our downtown businesses and we at the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society really appreciate all of the participants and consumers for getting together and making this wonderful event such a tremendous success.

Again, thank you all for this extremely generous gift to the society. We will use this to continue to bring more local history to life at the museum. Please stop in to visit.
