Rehoboth police seeking smash-and-grab suspect
Rehoboth Beach — Rehoboth Beach police are seeking the identity of a suspect police say was involved in two smash-and-grab thefts from vehicles in the Rehoboth Beach Plaza Jan. 17.
The suspect is a white female, 40-50 years old with light brown hair. She was observed shortly after the thefts at the Lewes Wawa wearing a light-colored top, jeans and black tennis shoes. She was driving in a dark-colored SUV with another person, who used a stolen credit card from one of the thefts to purchase gas.
Police say a second vehicle, a light-colored four-door car, possibly a Buick, is also believed to be involved in the thefts.
