During the months of November and December, the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club members were even busier than usual in their communities. Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets were delivered to families in the club's service area; the baskets contained enough food to feed families over many days.

A Flags for Heroes fundraiser was set in motion, with Mayor Mike Wyatt from Georgetown and Mayor Bob Bryan from Millsboro purchasing the first flags. Members rang bells for Salvation Army at Walmart in Georgetown and at Roses in Millsboro on weekends in December.

Members from the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club joined other Rotary Clubs to deliver cookies as part of the Cookies For Cops initiative in Delaware. Students from Delcastle Technical High School stayed up all night to bake 10,800 cookies in honor of Lt. Joseph Sczcerba, who was killed in action in 2011.
