Dewey Beach — Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Meyer Jabara Hotels and Dewey Beach Enterprises announced the opening of Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, the first Hyatt branded hotel in Delaware, Sept. 19.

“Hyatt Place is designed for a lifestyle, not a demographic, and as a result, we are confident that everyone from business travelers to families on vacation will appreciate the open, intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and 24-hour food and beverage availability,” said General Manager Christine Strouss.

Located on the Rehoboth Bay and footsteps from the Atlantic Ocean, this bay front resort hotel is surrounded by nightlife and dining; travelers can enjoy boating, parasailing, wake boarding, water skiing, windsurfing and dolphin-watching during their stay.

Hyatt Place Dewey Beach offers 108 guest rooms, all of which feature a 42-inch HDTV, the plush Hyatt Grand Bed® and a Cozy Corner sectional sofa.  Complimentary Wi-Fi access is offered throughout the hotel.  There is a complimentary morning Kitchen Skillet TM, featuring freshly prepared breakfast sandwiches, a variety of fresh fruits, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, breads, premium coffee and an assortment of juices.

The hotel also features 1,400 square-feet of flexible, high-tech meeting and function space, a 24-hour menu serving made-to-order entrees and appetizers and a coffee and cocktails bar featuring specialty coffees, premium beers, wines and cocktails.

“Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is a 21st Century hotel for the Delaware coastline and is a legacy project for our company,” said Dewey Beach Enterprises President E. Thomas Harvey. “The multi-phased Lighthouse Cove project, which includes the Hyatt Place Hotel, represents a stellar investment in Delaware tourism and will generate significant economic growth and job creation.”

“As a major east coast tourism destination, and recently rated of the four ‘Superstar Beaches in the Country’ in 2013 by the Natural Resources Defense Council, we are thrilled to bring Hyatt Place to such vibrant community like Dewey Beach,” said Meyer Jabara Hotels President Richard Jabara. "We're excited to welcome a new product into the Dewey Beach community and are confident that the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach will exceed both the community and guest expectations with its unique lifestyle approach to travel."
