Schwartz Center to host card-signing event Oct. 17The Jazz Ambasadors to perform Nov. 12 at Schwartz Center
The Schwartz Center for the Arts, Dover Post, and Clear Channel Radio will present a card-signing event in connection with the Nov. 12 performance of the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors, in support of Fisher House and Families of the Fallen.
The Jazz Ambassadors is the official touring big band of the United States Army. Formed in 1969, this 19-member ensemble has received great acclaim at home and abroad performing America's greatest original art form, jazz.
Concerts by the Jazz Ambassadors are programmed to entertain all types of audiences. The band’s diverse repertoire includes big band swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, vocals and patriotic selections, many of which are written or arranged by members of the Jazz Ambassadors.
The card-signing event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Schwartz Center for the Arts. In addition to the card signing for Families of the Fallen, attendees can make a donation to The Fisher House at Dover Air Force Base or enjoy the light refreshments that will be served.
The U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors will perform at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12. Tickets are free. This concert will also benefit Fisher House and Families of the Fallen at DAFB. Donations are greatly appreciated.
