Sixth annual Multiples jewelry show at Heidi Lowe Gallery opens Nov. 10
The sixth annual Multiples jewelry exhibition at Heidi Lowe Gallery will feature limited-edition work by various artists from all over the country. The work focuses on the idea of the multiple; jewelry objects range between one-of-a-kind and production work.
The opening will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, in conjunction with Destination Art, Rehoboth Beach’s Second Saturday Art Walk. The show will be on display through March 2013.
“The Multiples show brings together a vast array of types of jewelry that should delight everyone, from people with traditional tastes to those who consider themselves more eccentric,” gallery owner Lowe said. “More than a dozen artists have created new work for the show."
Heidi Lowe Gallery will continue to offer scheduled classes from 5 to 8 p.m. most Thursdays through Dec. 6. Each class will focus on a specific skill in the jewelry-making process and can be made to cater to kids as well as adults. The fall schedule is as follows: Nov. 15, Textured earrings; Nov. 29, Silver ring; and Dec. 6, Set a stone.
All classes include at least three hours in the studio and a sterling silver piece of jewelry, which each participant can wear out the door. Materials and tools are provided for the class. The cost is $100 per person, and group rates are available for parties of six to nine.
Lowe is also excited to announce Make Your Own Wedding Ring workshops, which are available year-round, and provide couples with the opportunity to participate in the process of creating one-of-a-kind wedding rings. Lowe is ready to work with couples to make their special wedding pieces, from rings to gifts for groomsmen or bridesmaids, and everything in between. For questions about scheduling or to reserve a class, contact the gallery at 302-227-9203.
