Sounding off on Rehoboth fireworks plan

By Barbara Forkel | Jun 05, 2014

Furious because of the lack of planning and no real, viable solution for those who want to attend the festivities in Rehoboth Beach and ever hope of getting out of town after.

I wish I were eligible to vote for mayor or rather vote out the Mayor of Rehoboth Beach. A new City Hall is nothing but a self-serving waste of taxpayer money also. Time for this guy to get on a horse and ride out of town.

As a potential solution, what about the Cape high school parking lot, a pick up at Lowes or Home Depot lots if they would permit, and maybe a few other spots to spread out the traffic. And how about using school buses? What about a ferry boat to watch the fireworks from the water if this is even feasible?

Editor's note: The plan to have people park in North Shores area is not Mayor Cooper's plan.  DelDOT and the Delaware State Police devised the plan.
