Members of the Delaware Special Olympics power lifting team met at The Firm Fitness Center in Rehoboth Beach Saturday, April 20, to practice their form and technique before this summer's official competition at the Bob Carpenter Center Saturday, June 8.

The Firm manager Kate Baird and power lifting coach Hank Stoklosa organized the practice and acted as the official referees for the event.

Baird corrected the competitors' feet and hand positions, and Stoklosa concentrated on the accuracy of the lifts. Stoklosa said, "Last year's national championships were very strictly judged and we wanted them to have a chance for improvement."

The six power lifters who practiced bench press and dead lifts included Robert Smith, Colin Mullen, Mark Jastrevski, John Stoklosa, Ian Currie and Dominic Silvestri.
