Special Yoga Class by Michele on Ujjayi Prayanama
Michele Gordon, CSYT, will hold a special yoga class on Wednesday, July 16 at 9 AM. Each class will include poses but will emphasize the value of Ujjayi Pranayama (also known as the sounding breath or full yoga breath). However, the main teaching in this class will cover the techniques and purpose of Ujjayi Pranayama and how to fine tune your own practice. This class will help you develop the qualities that make Ujjayi Pranayama a profound and powerful practice.
The benefits of an Ujjayi Pranayama breathing practice, when done on a daily basis, are: regulates blood pressure; relieves headache, allergy and asthma symptoms; improves sleep; and helps rid the body of infections and disease. This technique also calms anxieties and quiets your mind.
