Milton — Milton police arrested the daughter of a man taken into custody for attempted murder after she assaulted a police officer and kicked out the windows of a police car.

Sheen Floyd, 23, of Ellendale, was arrested about 1:15 p.m., Jan. 24, after police responded to the 12000 block of Holly Tree Road in Ellendale in search of Tyrone Majette. Floyd was in the back yard of the home when police arrived and denied knowing Majette. Police discovered Majette was at the residence prior to the stabbing.

After being taken into custody, Floyd kicked out the window of a Delaware State Police vehicle, police said. She then tried to escape by kicking the officer while being removed, police said.

She was charged with resisting arrest, hindering prosecution, offensive touching of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.

Floyd was processed and arraigned via video phone with Justice of the Peace Court 2. She was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $2,750 secured bond, pending preliminary hearing.
