The Town of Bethany Beach is again hosting exercise classes on the beach and bandstand. Participants are reminded to bring a towel, water, sunscreen and a mat.

New this year are Body Weight Basics and Zumba. These will be taught by Theresa McDuffie of There’s a Burn In You. As the name implies, Body Weight Basics is a 45-minute class using only body weight. All exercises can be modified to fit any fitness level. Classes are $10 per person and will be held Thursdays and Sundays at 7:15 a.m. on the beach. Zumba is a Latin cardio dance party for all fitness levels. These will be on the bandstand Mondays and Saturdays at 8 a.m. Cost is $7 per person.

The Town of Bethany Beach has been recognized for its excellence in community health promotion by the Governor’s Council on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
