Sussex County FCU names Richard ‘Duke’ Strosser vice president of lending

Sep 01, 2014

Sussex County Federal Credit Union announced that Richard "Duke" Strosser has been named vice president of lending. As a key member of the senior management team, Strosser has assumed responsibility for the overall credit quality and risk management of the credit union’s lending function, including expansion of the commercial lending portfolio.

“Duke brings both depth and range of experience to Sussex County Federal Credit Union,” said Pamela A. Fleuette, CEO of SCFCU. “He not only has strong credit skills but a background in relationship management, making him an ideal fit for our results-oriented and collaborative lending team.”

Strosser, who attained a BS in business administration from La Salle University, began his credit union career nearly 29 years ago and has held several leadership positions with both large and small institutions. He has a strong background in lending, risk management, collections, and new business development.

Strosser’s career includes CEO-level positions with Chestnut Run FCU, Norfolk Municipal Employees FCU, and Del-One FCU. He formerly served on the Delaware State Chamber’s Small Business Alliance Benefits & Service Committee, the Kent County Pension Committee, and the Delaware Credit Union League’s Government Affairs Committee.

"As we transition our credit union to an originator of new business opportunities, it was important for us to attract a talented executive with strong credit acumen. We are fortunate to have someone with Duke’s capabilities and experience joining the team in this critical role," said Fleuette.
