A contingent from the Sussex County Association of Realtors converged on central Florida during the first two weeks of November. Real estate professionals from Delaware’s southernmost county visited the Sunshine State to ensure their voices were heard on issues of importance for the nation’s real estate industry.

SCAOR 2012 President Trina Joyner, President-Elect Bob McVey and a select group of other local Realtors spent several days in Florida, undergoing intensive training and enjoying programs for Realtors from throughout the country.

Classes and sessions were held on a variety of topics, including technology, leadership, marketing and productivity.

“As Realtors, it’s always tough to get away for several days, but we understand wholeheartedly the importance of this type event for all of us. We need this time together to compare notes, continue our education and generally to become better Realtors,” says Joyner, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker in Seaford. “It’s also important that Sussex County is represented on a national level, so I was really glad to see us have such a presence this year in Orlando.”

Every fall, Realtors from across the United States and the world come together for the annual conference, which lasts for four days. The gathering includes more than 100 educational sessions, featuring nationally recognized speakers, trainers and industry experts.

The Sussex County Association of Realtors was chartered in 1949 and has steadily grown in size, scope and mission during its more than six decades in Sussex County. To read more about issues related to Sussex County’s real estate industry, go to www.scaor.com.
