Sussex Technical High School has honored shared approach teacher Mark Abbott of Georgetown as Staff Member of the Month for October.  Abbott, left,  is congratulated by Sussex Tech Principal Dr. John Demby.  In making the announcement, Demby thanked Abbott for his help to Assistant Principal Mike Firch with the Delaware Performance Appraisal System Component V work.

Abbott joined Sussex Tech in 2002 and teaches English, math and social studies. He has been a judge for SkillsUSA and a mentor to new teachers. He received his bachelor’s degree from Messiah College and a master’s degree from Delaware State University.
