The Arc of Delaware hires new executive director
The Board of Directors of The Arc of Delaware recently announced that Terry Olson has been hired as the agency’s executive director. Olson brings more than 30 years of experience in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field to his new position, as well as a strong commitment to advocacy and person-centered services.
Previously, he served for 19 years as executive director of Mosaic Delaware, a provider of residential services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Olson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Morris, and lives with his wife Kim in North East, Md.
The Arc of Delaware is a statewide, nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of life for more than 25,000 Delawareans with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
With dedicated volunteers and knowledgeable staff, The Arc of Delaware uses systems advocacy and direct services to help ensure that people with disabilities can live, work, go to school and enjoy leisure activities within their communities. Its mission is to improve supports and services, connect families, inspire communities and influence public policy and public perceptions. Offices are located in Wilmington and Dover.
