The Environment's New Public Enemy #1
Lewes, DE — Is there no end to the lunacy perpetrated upon us by our run away tyrannical federal agencies. The EPA has now, as of January 3rd, banned about 80% of the wood burning stoves and fireplace inserts in the United States. Does it get any more intrusive than the EPA dictating what we can enjoy in the comfort of our own homes? Fireplaces are also under consideration, as their next target to reduce particle pollution in the atmosphere.
I would venture to say that the eruption of Mt Saint Helens alone spewed more particulate pollution in the atmosphere than all the wood burning stoves in America will in the next 50 years. The EPA would do better to ban volcanoes and forest fires.
I can’t even begin to get my head around how ludicrous this new rule is. And we’re actually paying these political hacks and entrenched bureaucrats to sit around and dream up this malarkey. It defies description on the surface, but actually may be more sinister than it at first appears.
On the heels of the EPA’s war on firewood, more recently, a Department of Energy official: has revealed that electricity prices may soon soar up to 80 percent, thanks to recently announced new EPA coal regulations. So if burning wood and burning coal are now demonized as a fuel source, and oil already enjoys that status among regulators, what are we to think?
Is it then too far fetched to believe that these new rules might just be part of a conspiracy to drive the country more and more to reliance on the highly subsidized green energy companies so much in the favor of the current Administration?
