The Matt Haley Companies Global Delaware Fund Youth Committee, represented by Cape Henlopen senior Griffin Kammerer, has donated $5000 to the Harry K Foundation to aid in their H4 Initiative. The Global Delaware Fund is an international foundation started in 2010 by local entrepreneur & philanthropist Matt Haley. Their mission is to provide goods & services to children in at risk situations.
"The H4 Initiative gets right to the core of what the Global Delaware Fund is all about.", said Haley. "Harry is doing an awesome thing in working to see that every child in Sussex County has food security, and with our foundation's focus on the well-being of children both in Delaware & around the world, the decision to support his initiative was an easy one for us."
In addition to the H4 Initiative, in 2013 the Global Delaware Fund has also made contributions to Cape Barnes, Children & Families First, DAPI, CHEF, the Epworth Skate Project, the Barrio Plata Project in Nicaragua, and the Eternal Shalom School in Nepal. All travel by board members of the GDF is out of pocket, with 97.5% of funds raised going to charity, with plans for full 501(c)3 designation coming in the next 6 months.
