The question of the long white coat

By Calysta Foote | Jan 30, 2014

While visiting Lewes, I had the opportunity to visit a lovely, small old-fashioned pharmacy. While in the store, I met a clerk who was working behind the cash register, dressed in a long, white professional coat.

I asked my friend if she was a pharmacist - she said no, she wears it all the time.

This bothered me, a medical professional; had the white coat joined the ranks of disrespect? A white coat tells the public they have accomplished a long, hard road and is a doctor in many fields.

Please - if you must portray something you are not - wear a short coat or a colored one.
