ABOUT DR. SWIER

Patrick Swier, M.D., is a native of the Netherlands and has been practicing Plastic Surgery in Delaware for many years. After earning a medical degree from Columbia University and training in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Swier received his certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Swier also has been widely published, has been a presenter at national medical conferences and has been named Best in Delaware by Delaware Today Magazine.

Along with providing cosmetic and reconstructive surgical services, Dr. Swier is one of the few Plastic Surgeons on the East Coast who has been specifically trained and dedicated a significant portion of his practice to peripheral nerve surgery in the lower extremities.

Peripheral nerve surgeons aim to relieve peripheral nerve compressions mostly in the arms and legs that can cause numbness, tingling, burning pain, balance problems, and loss of toes and feet. This is particularly common in diabetics and chemotherapy patients.
