Third arrest made in Wawa fight
A 22-year-old Greenwood man faces charges in connection with a fight June 4 at a Route 1 Wawa.
A trooper responded to Wawa at Route 1 and Dartmouth Road after receiving a call about a fight. While trying to detain Reginald D. McGlotten, people in the store helped McGlotten get away, police said.
On June 5, probation and parole officers picked up Brandon LeGrand in connection with the fight, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.
LeGrand was charged with hindering prosecution, felony resisting arrest, second-degree conspiracy, offensive touching of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $7,500 cash bond.
Also June 5, Thomas A. Purnell, 27, of Ellendale turned himself in to police. Police charged Purnell with hindering prosecution, felony resisting arrest, second-degree conspiracy and disorderly conduct. He was released on $6,500 unsecured bond.
