There's a ton of trendy stores in this area, but sometimes you want to hit a great store without spending a ton of dough. With vintage being so much in style right now, thrift stores and vintage shops are a great way to find both deals and one-of-a-kind gems. We have some great stores where you can snag deals and unique finds that will have you feeling not only thrifty, but fabulous.

Here are some of my favorites:

➤  New Life Thrift Store, 34680 Jiffy Way, Lewes

Located behind the Jiffy Lube on Route 1, this thrift store is my top pick. In operation for 16 years, they have a ton of great stuff and wonderful prices. Notable for their book section, I picked up several children’s books that were in great shape, as well as one for myself. The staff is friendly and very helpful.  And they take credit cards.

➤  Purr-fectly Thrifty, 19753 Sea Air Ave., Rehoboth Beach

This store benefits our four-legged friends and it has a decidedly pet theme. Notable for its great pet section, there are even cats on site that are up for adoption. They also had a lot of quality women’s clothing. One thing I noticed was a ton of brand names. If you are spending a day hitting thrift stores, stop in shop and feel good about supporting animals.

➤ Superkind and Gidgets & Gadgets, Rehoboth Avenue

I am noting both of these places for their vinyl collections. My husband has quite the collection, so I am always on the lookout for stores with good records. Adding to a record collection is a great hobby, and the sound of  old records is something truly unique.

➤ Poor Little Rich Girl, 129 Rehoboth Ave. Rehoboth Beach

I love this store for its vintage high-end pieces. Poor Little Rich Girl has some truly delectable finds, from jewelry to clothing. I heard a rumor that they'll soon be switching over to a more bridal-themed vintage store.

➤  Jayne’s Reliable, off Main Street, Dagsboro

Now at a new (and expanded!) location on Route 26, owners David and Karen Jayne have a variety of items that will make you swoon. The store is know for its antique items and hand-refurbished pieces.

➤  Atlantic Community Thrift Shop, 34634 Atlantic Ave, Ocean View

This thrift shop is pretty amusing. It’s got rock-bottom prices and a colorful cast of volunteers who man the helm. They have some great clothing pieces that'll keep you coming back. And with those '90s-style high wasted pants and shorts being back in, well, this place is practically a teenage dream.
