Total agreement with Eva on Flood

By Bud Frampton | Oct 04, 2013

Timing is everything! Eva writes in the Oct. 1 edition about the liberal Democrat views of Mr. Flood. So Eva's thoughts are totally collaborated by Mr Flood in the Oct 1 edition with his indictment of the Republican Party, and in particular the Tea Party.

Objectivity is not a component of the mainstream media who have simply become puppets for the current administration. George Bush was ripped from pillar to post, and yet when compared to the numerous scandals, employment numbers, debt reduction and transparency in government of the left wing leadership tell me, when might the so-called journalists do some actual reporting?

Mr. Flood is struck by how hard-line Republicans no longer believe in democracy - his exact words. Who did you survey for that statement? As typical of the left, no documentation just "they, him or she said," no names; just pronouns. The left prides itself on destroying the opposition with personal attacks, again a statement from Mr Flood, " They don't believe in democracy," referring to the Tea Party."

Who might they be Mr. Flood? Democracy is driven by differences of opinion called dissent and it takes both sides to compromise.

The feeble attempt to align Wolrd War II and Communism in the defense of democracy because the majority were right in the fight against these two events, according to Mr. Flood. I certainly believe without being a statistical

genius that there were far more than a majority that agreed to defend our way of life. It was probably unanimous because Americans suspected democracy was better in Mr Flood's words. Commitment to a world war and the cause for democracy is far beyond suspicion. If you want to use the word suspicion, apply it to Obamacare, where the majority did not want it, but is forced to take it, something outside the Commerce Clause of the Constitution.

I also notice the quote from the idol of the left Karl Marx about losing your chains. How about some additional information, not selective quotes. Karl Marx advocated "class struggle," capitalists are the cause of all misery

for the working class, and organized religion helps capitalists to keep the working class in place, the "opium of the masses," and Marx's entire life was guided by "no compromise." Do we not have a class struggle today; has religion been attacked, and has our leader compromised on anything?

As typical of the left, the quote by Mitt Romney was selective. Why not provide the entire quote so the readers - at least some - might comprehend the message. There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, those are 47 percent who with him are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe they are entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing, to you name it, my job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

The left seized the opportunity to show Republicans don't care, which is utterly ridiculous. If you want the nanny state, be my guest, but I would prefer offering opportunities for these folks to work and provide assistance to those who are entitled thereby helping them achieve independence and respect.

Now why don't we have some discussion about the subsidies for Congress where they receive 75 percent toward their health care and

don't have to take Obamacare. Why did the Senate reject this amendment and for that matter all others at an attempt at compromise?

The government control of health care is the ultimate goal just like how wonderful the government control of the postal system has been.

One hardly knows where to begin in responding to Frampton's letter.  I'll take just one small pass at it.  He claims that "objectivity is not a component of the mainstream media who have simply become puppets for the current administration."  He provide no documentation for his accusation that the Obama administration controls the largest media distribution channels in this country.  And make no mistake about it: that's exactly what he wrote.  What else could "puppet" mean?  And here's the delicious irony of it all: Frampton accuses his opponents of precisely the same tactics he engages in.  Come on, Frampton:  Show us how most media outlets in this country are a "puppet" of the Obama administration.  And while you're at it, could you please explain how Fox News can enjoy such a wide national audience and not be considered to be an integral part of the mainstream media?
