Trinity Logistics to host Big Pink Volleyball Tournament March 15

Event will raise funds for breast cancer charities
Feb 26, 2014

Trinity Logistics will be hosting its first Big Pink Volleyball Tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at Sussex Tech High School in Georgetown. This event, which is expected to be held annually, is made possible by the Trinity Foundation and aims to raise funds for breast cancer charities. The 2014 proceeds will be donated to the Nanticoke Cancer Care Center in Seaford.

Fifteen teams will be competing to call themselves the champions of the Big Pink Volleyball Tournament.  Supporters and fans of all ages are encouraged to come and cheer on the teams as well as gain valuable knowledge about this prevalent disease. Nanticoke Cancer Center and other organizations will be hosting education tables for all who are interested to learn more about breast cancer awareness, early detection, and what the public can do to help.

Sharp Energy of Georgetown will be in attendance as well with its pink propane truck, which supports the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. Sharp Energy has also donated a pink beachcomber bicycle to be raffled off during the event to one lucky winner. In addition to the action-packed volleyball matches, there will be concessions and fun activities for fans and spectators to participate in during the tournament.

Trinity Logistics is currently selling breast cancer awareness sweatshirts from which proceeds will also benefit the Nanticoke Cancer Care Center. To purchase a sweatshirt or inquire about making donations, call Ethan Malone at 800-846-3400, Ext. 3810.
