Tunnell Cancer Center Requests Nominations for the Spirit of Hope Caregiver Award
Every cancer survivor knows that there always is one person who stands out as taking extraordinary step to make a difference in the lives of others.
Now in its third year, the Spirit of Hope Award recognizes the hard work of these individuals. The award will be presented prior to the Miracle Mile walk in Rehoboth Beach. The award ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. at All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Olive Avenue.
Last year’s Spirit of Hope recognized the Sussex County Cancer Survivors Fund for its support of local cancer patients. The first award recipient was Sarah Hawtof, who initiated the Cranes for Hope campaign.
Nominations are now being accepted at Tunnell Cancer Center for this year’s award. Nomination forms are available at the Center, located at 18947 John J. Williams Highway in Rehoboth Beach. Those submitting a nomination are asked to write a few paragraphs about how the nominee demonstrated compassion, commitment, selfless dedication, a positive attitude, and how he or she inspires others.
Nominations are due by Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Send nominations to Judith Ramirez via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or via the postal service to Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Highway, Suite 101, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Submissions can also be sent via fax to (302) 645-3250. For more information, call (302) 645-3100, Ext. 2718.
