Delmarva, a local UNICO chapter, held its first Bocce Tournament Sept. 14 in Millsboro. More than 50 people took part in what organizers hope to make an annual event.
Proceeds will be donated to local and national charities such as cancer research, mental health, Cooley’s Anemia and scholarships. UNICO also honors citizens who have distinguished themselves in military service, scientific research, community and charitable service, and the promotion of Italian language, heritage and culture.
