Members of the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach enjoy sharing a meal with residents of Home of the Brave, a transitional housing facility for U.S. veterans. The monthly dinners are prepared and served by the women and provide an opportunity for the residents to enjoy a home-cooked meal. Judy Bryan, VIA Public Issues chair, and Pattie Buchanan are the organizers of this project and look forward to continuing this initiative for the women veterans at the new facility which is scheduled to open in late 2014 in Milford.

Gathered at the table (l-r) are Pattie Buchanan, Robert Turner, Judy Bryan, Jane Hance, Andrew Dick and Karol Powers-Case.

Judy Bryan, VIA Public Issues chair, gets ready to serve dinner. Bryan began to organize the monthly meals with Pattie Buchanan at the Home of the Brave in fall 2012 and has continued to the present. (Source: Submitted)
