The Cape boys' lacrosse team overran the young program at Sussex Central 25-0 April 9, improving to 3-2 on the season and now preparing for a Tuesday, April 15 away showdown against defending state champion Salesianum.

Sussex Central drops to 0-5 on the season, having been outscored 104-1. The Golden Knights play hard and have some good players; they have just been overwhelmed in all their games.

Cape's scoring distribution was Luke Benson 6, Charlie Burton 3, Todd Keen 3, Blake Mann 2, and James Ashby 2, with single goals from James Katurakas, Justin Lopez, Hunter Dailey, Tom Ott, Mike Hopkins, Brent Reed, Erik Stancofski, Tobin Fleming and Chris DePrince-Levis.

The Vikings outshot the Golden Knights 42-1. Grant Gillan had no saves as the one shot was not on goal.

Tom Ott does the old "win the face-off then bury the crank shot on the dead run" trick. Thomas is headed to the Naval Academy, and don't be surprised if he becomes a Navy lacrosse player. (Photo by: Dave Frederick )
