William 'Bill' Rossell, Delmarva Power retiree
Mr. William "Bill" Edward Rossell Sr., 86, of Millsboro formerly of New Castle, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013.
Bill was born Jan. 21, 1927, in New Castle, to the late Joseph and Edna Riley Rossell. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded by two children, Diane K. Rossell and Steven M. Rossell; two brothers, Francis and Robert Rossell, and two grandchildren.
He retired from Delmarva Power where he worked as the assistant comptroller for over 30 years. He was a member of New Castle United Methodist Church. He was an Eagles fan, enjoyed playing tennis and carpentry. Bill was a very practical, level-headed happy man. He always encouraged his children to pursue their dreams. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judith Rossell of Millsboro; a son, William E. Rossell Jr. of Millsboro; two daughters, Donna Lyle Roberts of Spindale, N.C. and Judith J. McKee and her husband Kenneth of Chesapeake City, Md.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Glebe Cemetery in New Castle.
