Wish other stores would emulate Super Fresh

By Terry Wilkerson | Jan 10, 2013

I want to publicly acknowledge the Super Fresh grocery store off Route One in Rehoboth Beach. They have had a pet food box near their exit door for the past two years collecting much-needed food for dogs and cats for Safe Haven, a no-kill animal facility. I cannot understand why the other stores do not have a similar collection box.

Super Fresh has the most courteous employees and managers anyone could ask for. As we are now in winter, Safe Haven will be needing any kind of dry/canned cat food and canned dog food. How would you like to be in the cold winter days and nights with nothing to eat or drink?  Remember: people can go to food banks if they are hungry, but a dog or cat cannot.

Safe Haven volunteers and employees are now feeding over 700 feral cats in addition to many dogs and cats living at the Safe Haven facility.  Be very generous and you will be blessed by donating.
