Wohlsen Construction Co. has been named as an Award of Excellence winner by the Delaware Contractors Association. The award was presented at the association’s 43rd annual meeting.

The first-place award was presented to Wohlsen for the construction of the Middletown Distribution Center for Johnson Controls Inc.

The team of Wohlsen Construction and Becker Morgan Group was selected by Johnson Controls to design and build a new 422,000-square-foot battery manufacturing and distribution facility in Middletown. The new facility was designed and built to receive LEED Certification.

Wohlsen Construction Co., a Green Plus Certified company, was founded in 1890 and is one of the leading merit shop construction firms in the Mid-Atlantic states.
