Work begins on three Route 9 intersections
Delaware Department of Transportation contractor American Infrastructure-MD Inc. has started work on a safety improvement project on three intersections along Route 9/404. The $5.2 million project is expected to continue through the year and be completed by late December.
The project includes widening intersections of Route 9 at Hudson and Fisher roads with realignment of the two minor roads; Route 9 at Route 30/Gravel Hill Road; and widening of the intersection of Route 9 at Sweetbriar and Dairy Farm roads. Log Cabin Hill Road will also be realigned as part of this project.
Traffic is being shifted with no current closures. Any work requiring closures of lanes will be performed from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. Minor delays should be expected during construction.
