WSFS Financial Corp., the parent company of WSFS Bank, has announced the winners of the Fourth Annual WSFS Pet Photo Contest. The Best in Show, Most Personality and Kids & Pets categories winners were chosen by celebrity judges Lt. Gov. Matthew Denn, 93.7 WSTW Wakeup Crew host Nancy Johnson and Wilmington Blue Rocks mascot Rocky Bluewinkle. In addition, WSFS Bank announced the winner for the first-ever People’s Choice category, which was determined by online voting. Winners can be viewed by visiting www.wsfspetcontest.com.

"This year's Pet Photo Contest was a tremendous success. We received over 1,500 submissions from across the region through online and branch submissions - a record for this initiative,” said Rick Wright, executive vice president and chief retail banking officer. “We are always so amazed and excited that both customers and noncustomers get so enthusiastic about the contest, and the photos keep getting better and better.”

The Best in Show winner was Duke, a 4-year-old golden retriever submitted by Debbie Vai of Wilmington.  Phillip Barkley of Wilmington and his 3-year-old beagle, Comet, were the winners of the Most Personality category. Bruno, an 8-month old great dane and his playmate, 22-month old Braedon, submitted by Courtney Heal of Newark, took home first place in Kids & Pets. The People’s Choice winner was Tucker, a 5-year-old cockapoo from Newark.  Winners will each receive a Concord Pet Foods & Supplies gift card, blue ribbon and trophy.

WSFS Bank donated $1 for every personal or business checking account opened through the month of September and has pledged $1,500 to the Delaware Humane Association.

"WSFS Bank is a fantastic partner and friend to the Delaware Humane Association," said Patrick Carroll, executive director.
