	        Volunteer Leah Alvarez of Georgetown takes a turn at reading the Bible during a week-long marathon. Volunteers read portions of the Bible for 13 hours each day this past week leading up to the May 3 National Day of Prayer. The event is sponsored each year by the Georgetown Ministers Association.

	        Several knitters from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rehoboth Beach met on a recent Friday morning to share in the knitting of prayer shawls to be distributed to bereaved or elderly members or friends of the church.     <title>Community Resource Center celebrates first anniversary</title>
