	        Seven people were injured June 15 when two vehicles crashed near the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach Fire Station 3 on Route 24.
Firefighters were returning from another call at 12:15 a.m. when they discovered the serious crash, said Warren F. Jones, spokesman for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Co.
The seven people involved were taken to local hospitals, Jones said.
Route 24 was closed for about two hours.

	        A Wyoming woman died June 16 after her SUV ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Melissa M. Perez, 39, was driving on Route 36 west of Lighthouse Road at 3:24 p.m. when she ran off the roadway along a curve, said Cpl. John Day of the Delaware State Police.

	        The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has finished extensions this week on the Laurel Street stormwater outfall pipe in Rehoboth Beach.
