	        Anna Frederick scored six goals and goalie Maggie Delp had double-digit saves, as Cape broke open a slow-down game in the second half after leading 7-5 at halftime to post a 14-7 victory over Tower Hill. Cape improved to 17-0 on the season.

	        The Cape baseball team closed out the season at home May 18, losing to Saint Mark's 10-4.
There were four fence-clearing home runs hit in the ball game as Sam Rogers and Calvin Scott each hit three-run shots for Saint Mark's while David Kwan and Jake Dmiterchik homered for the Vikings.
Cape completes the season with a record of 9-9.

	        The Cape Henlopen girls' soccer team ended its 2012 campaign 6-9 with a 7-0 loss to undefeated powerhouse Caesar Rodney May 17.
The Riders outshot the Lady Vikings 18-5 while also taking a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Cape sophomore Evelin Martinez made eight stops in net for the Vikes.
The junior varsity team finished its season with a 1-0 loss to the Riders' JV. The JV record was 4-1-7 on the year.

	        Dre Miller had the best performances in the jumps at the state meet not to result in gold medals ever in the history of track and field. Miller jumped 22-feet-7-inches in the long jump and 45-4 in the triple, both good for second place.
Senior Isaiah Brown of Milford recorded a pair of sizzling second-place photo finishes, losing the 400 meters in 48.8 and the 300 hurdles in 39.1.

	        The Cape Henlopen junior varsity lacrosse team under head coach Jessica Reardon closed out the season with a perfect record of 12-0, beating Polytech 10-5 and Sussex Tech 8-2.
Goal scorers against Sussex Tech were Claire Carnevale 2, Sophie Kalb 2, Riley Wagner 2, Peyton Medd 1 and Cam Bernheiser 1.
Sam Broadhurst went the season in goal for all 12 victories.

The Cape Henlopen girls' track team battled ear, nose and throat issues with sick or injured athletes over two days and even a hurdler that saw spots before her race on a hot afternoon and slowed it down to a crawl.
